This is a site for work and users can post a free article for someone in the community to translate from English to Chinese or Chinese to English as needed. There are two different types of users on this site. One is the translator and the other is the project creator or consumer.
This site is much like a bidding site such as Freelancer.com. How it works is very simple. Someone needs to get a translation from English to Chinese. They come to http://englishchinesetranslation.org and registers for a free account. Under the services needed button they can click on the translation button. They will then fill out the details of the translation job such as how long the translation piece is to be, what the person will pay for the work done and the time frame that is expected. They will then get the job approved by the website and it will go live. It will be available for all that translate to take a look at.
The next step will be that either a translator already on the site will find the position opening. They will then bid on the job in question. The test will be to translate a paragraph of the translation piece. The offer will then be passed onto the employer in question for a decision. Another scenario is that another translator will sign up for an account on this site. They will also notice the translation work needing to be done. This person can do it better than the first and will offer a lower bid than the first translator. The person then sends the translated paragraph to the potential employer.
The employer will then be notified that there are two bids on the project that they have posted. Checking the quality of each of the paragraphs the job creator will make the decision to hire the lower priced translator for two reasons. The first reason is that she did a better job and the second is because she costs less than the first translator. The creator will then get in touch with the chosen provider via the private message system. The translator will have to accept the contract. Once that contract is accepted the work will begin.
A fee may or may not be taken out of the provider’s account. Contacting the client the provider starts the work as requested. She will keep the employer up to date on the progress of the translation. Once the work is finished, then the provider will upload the work to the employer for review. After the review has been completed then the provider will be paid the agreed on amount as promised. The job will then be marked as closed and is then free to post another translation job in the same manner.
